Gordon E. Moore, co-founder of Intel, Santa Clara, CA

Gordon E. Moore a chemist and physicist who co-founded the Intel Corporation in 1968. The Santa Clara based Intel became the world's largest semiconductor company. Gordon Moore is known for "Moore's Law" which predicted in 1965 that the number of components that could be placed on a computer chip would double every year. In 2002 he received the United States Medal of Freedom. Moore was photographed inside of the Intel Museum in Santa Clara, CA, with mannequins dressed in early clean room suits behind him.
