Measuring ground radiation in Pripyat, Chernobyl, UA

Worker measuring ground radiation in Lenin Square in Pripyat, a model Soviet town built in the Ukraine for Chernobyl workers and their families less than two miles from Chernobyl station. Pripyat was abandoned after the 1986 nuclear accident. The explosion inside of reactor 4 at Chernobyl nuclear power station has been called the worst man-made disaster in human history.
